3D cell culture and bioprinting applications
Research Collaborations & Applications
At Biogelx we know collaboration is key. Our current collaborations portfolio includes a range of different project types and sizes. These include serving as industrial sponsor for Medical Research Scotland and BBSRC funded PhD studentships, focusing on a range of applications from developing 3D models for osteoarthritis to bioprinting for tissue engineering. We are also industry partners on the innovative LifeTIME CDT – Joint Centre for Doctoral Training in Engineered Tissues for Discovery, Industry, and Medicine working with several Universities from across the UK and Ireland.
Our collaborative approach means we are part of several research consortia with partners from world-leading research institutions and companies. These include European funded projects such as our Eureka Eurostars Project (CellSenseGels, Project EU10960) looking to develop improved biosensors using Biogelx hydrogel technology, and a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network, (H2020-MSCA-ITN-2017, THERACAT, Grant No. 765497) focused on the development of novel cancer treatments utilising biorthogonal catalysis.
